E.N.T. department of Guang 'anmen hospital, established in 1983, has taken efforts to the concept of patient-centered services and undertaken heavy scientific research, teaching and clinical work. Nowadays, there are 10 doctors, including 2 chief physicians (1 Doctoral supervisor), 1 associate chief physician, 7 physicians.
E.N.T. department has a variety of advanced examination and treatment equipment, such as pure acoustic hearing equipment, acoustic impedance equipment, tinnitus matching and masking therapy equipment, multi-functional fiber rhinolaryngoscope, stroboscopic, nasal endoscope, electro-otoscopy, E.N.T. treatment table, red light therapeutic apparatus, microwave therapeutic apparatus, tympanic massage apparatus, nasal resistance detector, otoacoustic emission, auditory brainstem response, vestibular function examination system.

It features the TCM characteristics of diagnosis and treatment, and combined with Western medicine and TCM integrated with western medicine together, which has been achieved good results. The E.N.T. department has accumulated rich experience in treating many diseases: allergic rhinitis, acute and chronic rhinitis, sinusitis, pharyngitis, laryngitis, laryngeal papilloma, vocal leukoplakia, tinnitus and deafness, peripheral vertigo, cupulolithiasis, secretory otitis media, adenoid hypertrophy, snoring. Most of patients in this clinic are provided with diagnose and internal and external therapeutic treatment, including acupuncture and moxibustion, herbal fumigation, nasal irrigation, acupoint application, acupoint application in hot summer days, pressing ear acupoint with bean, acupressure, manual reduction. Especially for patients with allergic rhinitis, we have carried out acupoint application in hot summer days in the past decade and exceeds 20,000 patients involved. Besides, we have developed multiple treatments and undertaken many scientific research, as the results of developing hospital preparations rhinitis No.1 and after many years of clinic observation, it proves the effective in alleviating symptoms for allergic rhinitis and welcomed by the vast number of patients.
