The Department of Andrology is the first affiliated unit of the Andrology Committee of the Chinese Association of Integrative Medicine and the earliest unit in China to carry out the study of andrology by integrative medicine. Professor Jia Jinming, the academic leader, was the first chairman of the committee.

We have accumulated rich experience in the treatment of male infertility, prostate diseases (prostatitis, benign prostatic hyperplasia), male dysfunction (erectile dysfunction and ejaculation dysfunction, premature ejaculation), andrological miscellaneous and intractable diseases, and developed a series of formulas including Yijing Formula, Huojing Formula, Shengjing Formula, Prostatitis Formula, Prostatic Hyperplasia Formula, Epididymitis Formula, etc., with definite curative effects, which have been well received by patients. In the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia, new special drugs such as Huange Capsule have been developed.

We are in a leading position in the field of integrated Chinese and Western medicine in andrology, have undertaken research projects from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National New Drug Fund and the Capital Medical Development Fund, and won one second prize for scientific and technological progress from the State Administration of TCM, one third prize for scientific and technological progress from the Chinese Association of Integrative Medicine, one third prize for scientific and technological progress from Beijing, and two scientific and technological progress prizes from the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences. As the earliest domestic doctoral training unit for clinical andrology of integrated TCM and western medicine, our department has trained a large number of andrology professionals in China.
